This 2-day One-to-One wax carving class is an intense personalised class to suit your learning needs. You bring your design and I will show you how to make it.

In this 2-day intense wax carving class, you will learn how to carve a detailed design of your choice in wax, which you can then take away to have cast.

The two-day intense one-to-one class is perfect for those wanting to get into jewellery making and those wanting to broaden their abilities with some extra insight. This course is personalised to suit your desires; you bring your design, and I show you how to make it.

This class can either be two days of wax carving, or there is also an option to split the two-day course into one day of wax carving and one day of polishing your metal casting. The second option would require 3-7 days between the classes to allow time for casting.

This class focusses on carving in green wax, however, you will also learn about many different waxes, their properties and their benefits.

I will also let you know about the essential tools you will need and show you examples of carving tools I have handmade myself, and if there is time, I can give you basic instructions on how to make your own.

At the end of the course, you will receive a list of essential tools that I recommend and suggested suppliers where you can purchase them at the best price, so you can avoid buying tools you don’t need, saving you time and money. 

Please note that the cost of casting and the lost wax casting process are not included in the classes, although all relevant advice and information is given.

Hours are 10-4 pm; however, times can be adjusted slightly if earlier or a little later would be preferred. Dates for this course depend on my availability, so check the calendar for available days.
