This one-to-one wax carving class is intensely personalised and suits your learning needs. You bring your design and I will show you how to make it.

In this 1-day class, you will learn how to carve a detailed design of your choice in wax, which you can then take away to have cast.

This class focusses on carving in green wax, however, you will also learn about many different waxes, their properties and their benefits.

I will also let you know about the essential tools you will need and show you examples of carving tools I have handmade myself.

At the end of the course, you will receive a list of essential tools that I recommend and suggested suppliers where you can purchase them at the best price, so you can avoid buying tools you don’t need, saving you time and money.

If after the first day you decide you want to do the second day, this is also possible, and the price would be adjusted to the 2-day option.

Please note that the cost of casting and the lost wax casting process are not included in the classes, although all relevant advice and information is given.

Beginners, you may consider the 2-day class so you can learn to clean and polish your metal piece after casting; this can be discussed in advance.

Hours are 10-4 pm; however, times can be adjusted slightly if earlier or a little later would be preferred. Also, the dates offered are preliminary dates that could be flexible depending on my availability.
