The Deco Ring explores the stylised human face through the language of Art Deco, where geometric forms, simplified features and sculptural abstraction transformed the depiction of the figure. Drawing on the enduring relationship between portraiture, ornament and cultural artefacts, the face becomes a sculptural form that balances recognition with abstraction.

Hand-carved in wax and cast using the lost-wax process, the ring draws on a tradition shared by jewellery making and bronze sculpture. Its simplified contours translate the language of figurative art into a miniature sculptural object, exploring the relationship between form, material and personal adornment.
